JENNIFER STREETER

Jennifer Streeter graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts in May of 2022. She majored in Journalism and double minored in Sports Management and Communication. While at A&M, she was the head sports editor of the student newspaper and had an all-encompassing (on-air,on-camera and print) internship with TexAgs and TexAgs Radio. During her senior year, Paul Finebaum invited her onto his show to discuss Aggie Football during his first annual Back to School Week.

Jenny decided to pursue further education through earning a master’s degree. She got into the top journalism program in the country at Columbia University, in the heart of New York City. She graduated with honors while earning her Master of Science from an Ivy League school. During her time at Pulitzer Hall, she was taught by professors who worked at the New York Times, Sports Illustrated and Time Magazine. Work wise, she was the lead student worker for Columbia’s Athletic Communications Office and Multimedia team. It was here she learned the ropes of sports PR and developed a passion for photography, videography and social media.

Currently, Jenny is known as “Houston’s hockey insider” and has her boots on the ground in the major Texas city as the NHL explores a potential expansion franchise. She covers hockey for On SI at Sports Illustrated and The Hockey News. Her passion for hockey quickly developed while living up north pursuing postgraduate education — and rapidly spiraled into a career.

Jenny is credentialed across the NHL, PWHL and NCAA Hockey and regularly executes various exclusive stories; she’s on the pulse with all things Texas hockey — including a viral exclusive interview with Houston Mayor John Whitmire in getting his backing of bringing the NHL to H-Town.

She regularly travels to cover away matchups and is enjoying her time exploring the country.
